Finally, the curtains on my university life have officially drawn to a close.
My convocation was an eventful one on a personal scale, because of the timing of things, but it was ultimately a success.
In the picture, I am flanked by my parents, and my uncle and aunt - the latter is my late mum's sister, whom she and my family were closest to. I really wanted them to come to my graduation in honour and memory of my mum and I'm glad that they really wanted to go as well. It was the next best thing to having my mum there.
Timing seems to be impeccable too; I will be starting a new role in the project tomorrow - one that will require a lot more skill, maturity and understanding from me. I'm nervous but excited at the same time. Can't wait to learn a lot more - I'm sure I will really start to develop and make a mark in this role.
Guess graduation took on a double meaning :)
A lot of things have been going on in my mind lately, but I came to a conclusion that it's always better to focus on what's right rather than what's wrong, because life can never be perfect. There are many things that I wish had happened differently, but deep down inside, I know that God has better plans for me.
On another note, I hope she responds soon........
